Guy Magalon, MD, Prof.

Regenerative, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery

Head of Department in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and at the Burn Center, of the Hospital de la Conception, Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Marseille (APHM), from 1987 to 2011.

In 2001, he was President of the French Society for Hand Surgery (GEM) and in 2005, President of the French Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He met Sydney Coleman in 1996 and he was convinced of the immense possibilities of Lipostructure.

In 1998, he organized in Marseille, the “First Scientific Course on autologous Fat Grafting” in conjunction with and featuring Sydney Coleman. Since, then he has been working on Plasma Rich in Platelets (PRP) and Fat-Derived products, in particular, Microfat, Emulsified fat and Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF). In 2011, he was appointed Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with the mission for developing Research Projects in Regenerative Surgery, with a main theme on the Treatment of patients with Scleroderma.

Since September 2014, he has been Professor Emeritus at Aix-Marseille University and continues his Teaching courses and Research activities at the international level.
